Pros

leadership programs and training are probably the best in the world. There is work/life balance if you demand it and work hard for it - sounds funny but if you bust your butt and deliver beyond expectations your manager will let you come and go and work from home as you please.

Cons

People are unhappy - making the entire environment pretty depressing Because people are unhappy programs are constantly being pushed back due to lack of resources and cost cutting measures, when announcing programs getting pushed back the only response from management is to "make it hit the date or else" Health insurance got slashed to bones a few years back - $2500 yearly deductible for families.... why even pay the premiums if you are a healthy family? People who work hard get rewarded with more and more work, people who consistantly don't deliver get rewarded with being left alone to read novels at their desk until they get bored enough to either find another job or leave the company. Pay levels are horrible and if you request a salary comparison you will be waiting for a year+ to get the adjustment and then you have to wait another 18 months to get a yearly raise again which defeats the purpose of a salary compaison which should be for the purpose of just level setting. Constant mind games with top performers to try to drag more productivity out of them by giving them lower ratings to drive them to be better is not the way to drive top performers, top performers know they are great (or they wouldn't be top performers) so reflect that. Top people see right through mind games.

Pros

-a lot of smart and talented people work here -reasonable pay and benefits -nice coworkers -some remote work opportunities, albeit decreasing over time

Cons

-mixed leadership - some good leaders, some terrible ones -ridiculously onerous processes - their QMS system is ludicrously conservative and involves literally hundreds of documents to make one product -sourcing takes 10x longer than it should -tolerance of poor performers and way too high a bar to get rid of them -bad annual raises - often lower than inflation these past few years - and weakly based on personal performance
