Pros
I feel like I am making a difference in the lives of people world-wide by providing quality products at a competitive price.
Cons
I have been at GE almost 10 years and my goals and objectives have always been pie in the sky. People will seemingly do anything to hit the quarterly numbers, some of which is distrubing. Overall, the work-life balance is not good. There is flexibilty in my hours, but meetings keep extending the day. I feel like the older you get, the less valuable you are seen to the company, when it sould be exactly the opposite. I feel that the recent downsizing of 5 - 10% of the work force will be repeated again soon.
