Pros
If you have the energy and desire to learn new things, GE will give you more responsibility than you could probably get in most other companies. Great opportunities to rapidly gain experience.
Cons
Management is in a pickle. They don't have enough resources to execute as they'd like, but they can't say no to their managers when asked to take on additional work. This has been getting worse and worse for five or six years. The staff is overworked, and product quality suffers. Management is dominated by the ambitious, as opposed to the competent or experienced.
