Pros

This development program is designed for new graduates in engineering. The Edison program lasts for 2 years, with 4 6-month rotations through various technical engineering jobs of your choice. Some members choose to move around the country (Greenville, Atlanta, Houston, Schenectady, etc) and some stay in one location. As a part of this program, each member earns a master's degree from Georgia Tech or NC State, taking courses online during the week. Each member also attends various training courses, some of which are domestic and some international. This program is great for starting off a career surrounded by other young, bright, positive individuals. This is one of the aspects that make GE one of the best companies for early career development.

Cons

Move jobs every 6 months - can be hard on personal relationships

Pros

GE Vernova has great company culture... obviously it differs team by team but in my experience most people are really nice and laid back. Most teams are also supportive of good worklife balance (aka nobody is working more than 40 hours per week, and a lot of teams are remote part time).

Cons

Like every big company, there is some disorganization (ESPECIALLY with onboarding stuff).

Pros

Exposure to functions and senior leadership within GEV. PMLPs have the ability to take on as much responsibility as they can handle *IF they push for it.

Cons

Unstructured. PMLPs are free labor and often times pull in directions that may not be the best for their future but for the success of the company.
