Pros

some of the people there

Cons

lack of management, lack or leadership, callcenter, high stressful environment, angry customers, micromanaging, low wages for educated people who have degrees, favoritism, not family friendly, a low cost provider across the board. employees must bring their own office supplier. 400 plus employees share one printer and a copier. you have to walk 5 minutes to get to a printer. every 10 employees share one can of trash. Old computers, no parking space and will get ticketed or towed if you park in an authorized area. Supervisors are young minded with no respect to employees. very few of them take their job serious while the rest is busy doing nothing. They force you to work holidays. they don't believe in employee moral. Geico is so cheap they gave us a microwavable meal for Christmas and called it a party. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU HAVE AN EDUCATION, you will not go anwywhere with them with your education.

Pros

GEICO is one of the largest employers in my smaller town, so I've heard all the good, the bad, and the ugly. What a pleasant surprise it's been working here! There is so much intentional change to create a great employee experience and get the right team leaders in place. Highly recommend not putting too much weight into older negative comments if you're thinking about applying. I've been very happy with my salary, the benefits/time off, culture, and leadership (both locally and senior leaders). I feel like there's a lot of room to continue to grow my career here and I see the same opportunities for others.

Cons

Really nothing major that I can think of!

Pros

Strong opportunities for career growth Many people are willing to mentor and support others without expecting anything in return Supportive culture, even from people who may not know you personally Increased focus on education and development, especially for leaders More company activities at the local office, which has been a welcome change Fun associate engagement opportunities like escape rooms, art activities, games, and food events So many opportunities for recognition

Cons

There are still some areas where the company appears to be rebuilding trust and confidence Change is noticeable and appreciated, but some improvements are still in progress Feedback has clearly helped shape recent changes, and it will be good to see that progress continue
