Pros

GEICO is a good place to start for a person who has no or little experience; it has very good training programs; profit sharing was pretty good in the past; and geico is a pretty stable company.

Cons

Geico is a low cost company - means low salary, low exam raise, little chance of promotion after you reach grade 68. out-of-date CRT PC monitor, telephone; The salary is based on your manage level - your salary could be low even you have very good expertise but if your level is low. unfriendly working environment

Pros

Organized in the hiring and training process

Cons

They cared more about output and getting results than the understanding of all the knowledge they cram into us. In addition, we were in training/orientation with mostly supervisor candidates. Meaning, first, there were so many people that did things in vastly different ways which created confusion on expectations and overall objectives of the job. Secondly, it meant that those candidates were finding their footing and being evaluated just as harshly (if not more) than new hires, creating pressure that boiled over to almost every individual on a team.
