Pros

Great insurance benefits, decent hourly wages. Camaraderie with other employees/teammates

Cons

Corporate treats everyone like robots. The stress level is through the roof. No incentive to offer quality customer service. Schedule adherence is life and death. They will force you to work on holidays, or write you up for being a no show as an "unplanned absence." Remote technology is a joke. No respect for their employees or their customers. Constantly promoting outside hires to upper management positions, instead of promotion from within, which means that supervisors often have less knowledge than their subordinates. Management track means that you have a new sup every 6 months, so there is a total lack of cohesion/ hard to develop strong relationships with your team before you have to start all over again. The workload was insane before the pandemic, and now its 10 times worse. Morale is horrible and most people i know would quit if they had a better offer.

Pros

Decent pay and remote work.

Cons

Poor management at all levels, and high turnover in the IT department. Profit sharing was initially offered when I started in 2013 but disappeared after covid. Management laid off most of the IT staff that had the technical and insurance knowledge in favor of bringing in new staff to transition GEICO into a tech company. Not sure what the status of the IT department is in 2026.
