Pros
-401k match program is good. -Profit Sharing (when available - generally around $1200-3000 yearly as a live bonus check -Great discounts on rentals & hotels
Cons
-truthfully too many list -Worklife balance isn't great (either work a lot of hours outside of your salaried position or get left behind for promotions/raises (when factored for the extra time you work - the salary comes to be less than the number) -Poor management who handle changes based on what State Farm and Progressive are doing (this includes YOUR pay raises) -Transparency in too many areas comes down to your supervisor "hearing things" around the water cooler so-to-speak -Burnout is real in the insurance industry, mainly due to the extraordinary high volume of case work in most departments. -You'll spend more time thinking about work and "tipping/calling" people than your own family. -Most people really aren't happy at GEICO regardless of what these ratings might indicate. -Not a con, but find suitable work. Insurance really isn't it for most people. *Imagine a pencil being sharpened to the eraser. Once used, it's replaced with another pencil to do the same work using more cost-effective graphene. That's GEICO!
