Pros
Pay Additional pay for nights or weekend shifts
Cons
- when I started I thought I’d have a 30 year career - now not so sure. -Upward mobility once within leadership is gone -Forcing multiple roles that used to be other departments all into one position without additional compensation -unreasonable performance goals pitted against a national ranking system of all associates (everyone knows if you get rid of the bottom 10% there will be a new bottom 10%) -forced in office for more than 80% of the week with no justifiable reasons -fear of losing job or other layoffs regardless of performance ranking -unable to use more than 77.5 hours of sick time per 12 rolling months even if the associate has well above that amount saved up (without fml) Could go on and on. Literally the only reason anyone works at geico is the pay and for some associates even that is probably not great but still better the surrounding communities near the geico office.
