Pros
GEP has been around for nearly two decades now but still has a very start-up like culture, which is great. You get all the benefits that come along with a start up - flexibility, rapid growth opportunities, freedom to implement new ideas, a collegial work environment, plus the advantages of working with an established, globally recognized company in its industry. GEP has been growing rapidly, nearly doubling its headcount in the last few years, so there’s lot of opportunities for everyone. The company is indeed a meritocracy. Good work does get appreciated and rewarded – there’s a formal internal program just for appreciating colleagues and team members for a job well done. Most of my colleagues have been around for more than four years (how rare it is these days!). I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and experienced professionals as colleagues, across offices on various projects. The company encourages collaboration across functions, offices and regions, providing good amount of global work exposure. There are a lot of employee engagement programs that make it a fun place to work. The company transport is a life saver in Mumbai’s traffic!
Cons
It takes some time to get used to the shift timings - but it's actually great if you want to miss the peak-hour commute. The office location in Mumbai (Airoli) isn't well connected but the company transport makes up for it.
