Pros
- Some really great people to work with, made great friendships and long-term professional contacts - Some colleagues were very encouraging and went out of their way to highlight your abilities to internal management and clients - Interesting work some of the time that kept you learning more about various fields - Some really nice and interesting clients that were a pleasure to work with - Good drink selection
Cons
- Unrealistic expectations of employees including being "on call" 24/7/365 - Numerous "initiatives" that swing attention in one direction for a week or so and then a new one shortly thereafter that takes attention in a completely different direction - Management turns a blind eye to those who do not pull their weight; doesn't acknowledge that workload distribution is imbalanced - Company politics like I've never seen in an organization; if you do good work that may not be enough if you're not properly aligned - GLG is an expert network that isn't proud of it's position relative to the competition and is constantly trying to be something its not.
