      Pros

      Fantastic company with great culture and great people. As of now, it operates as a hybrid environment (1x week moving to 2x a week in the future). Very flexible and fair.

      Cons

      I have no issues with the rotational program (buzz word for parallel positions) but if you have an employee who inquires about opportunities for promotion, I recommend not saying “the only way you get promoted is if someone retires or gets hit by a bus.” I had a former VP literally tell me this and that is what prompted me to move on from the company. Ironically, I have seen promotions being given out on multiple occasions and a great number of those were brand new roles, not replacements.

      I'm a senior-level software engineer, previously worked at tech companies, and this job is relatively easy for me. No on-call, work-life balance is good. I usually get everything done within 2-week sprints.

      Cons

      GMF is the true definition of work hard, not smart. There are so many dumb engineers. There was a time I had to work with non-technical teams like prod support, and it was quite frustrating. They wanted my team to build an automation so they didn't have to work manually as if anything is possible and there is no limitation within the company. I didn't even create a backlog item as it was a waste of time.
