Pros
None other than it’s a small niche market so you get to become an expert in Hab in underwriting.
Cons
This company operates in a toxic environment where leadership manages through fear, intimidation, and favoritism. If you’re not part of the favorite group, you often feel excluded and undervalued.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was working under a controlling manager whose micromanagement created stress while offering little support or guidance. Rather than building people up, her approach left many employees frustrated and demoralized.
Across the company, leadership relies on control and mistrust, withholding knowledge to maintain authority instead of encouraging collaboration and growth. This gatekeeping, combined with noticeable gaps in expertise, creates confusion, poor decision-making, and constant tension among teams. Not to mention, the CUO makes derogatory political comments towards a group of people on all company calls.
Turnover is understandably high, as employees eventually leave the unhealthy culture. Prospective employees should carefully consider the leadership style and lack of support here, as development and well-being are not prioritized.
