Pros

It was a job. Not the best

Cons

Entitled associates dump their workload on you. Management is absent or clueless on how to treat associates. They let you know as you're walking out on Friday that you have to come in tomorrow, Saturday. Like we don't have the lives, we're already planning . No opportunities for development. Pay is 20% below industry mean. Place was a revolving door. Place employs 50 associates 10 walked out because of poor management. Corporate does nothing and let's really good people go.

Pros

GOAT offers the opportunity to work on a well-known brand, and the remote environment was once a major benefit. Employees are generally given autonomy to manage their work, and there are opportunities to learn in a fast-paced ecommerce business.

Cons

The company has changed significantly over the past year. Following multiple rounds of layoffs, there has been an ongoing sense of uncertainty that has affected morale across teams. More recently, there has also been a strong emphasis on AI-driven efficiencies, which has left many employees feeling that cost reduction is prioritized over investing in people. Leadership often talks about innovation, but the day-to-day experience feels much more corporate than you would expect from a younger, trend-driven company. There isn't much emphasis on employee experience, culture, or professional development. Outside of standard benefits and holidays, there are few perks or wellness initiatives that make employees feel valued. The culture can feel transactional. Come in, do your work, and log off. The business has also faced meaningful external headwinds, and those challenges have created an even more cautious environment. Communication around strategy and the future could be more transparent, as many employees are left wondering where the company is headed.
