GOAT offers the opportunity to work on a well-known brand, and the remote environment was once a major benefit. Employees are generally given autonomy to manage their work, and there are opportunities to learn in a fast-paced ecommerce business.

The company has changed significantly over the past year. Following multiple rounds of layoffs, there has been an ongoing sense of uncertainty that has affected morale across teams. More recently, there has also been a strong emphasis on AI-driven efficiencies, which has left many employees feeling that cost reduction is prioritized over investing in people. Leadership often talks about innovation, but the day-to-day experience feels much more corporate than you would expect from a younger, trend-driven company. There isn't much emphasis on employee experience, culture, or professional development.
