Pros
1. Hours (especially relative to the rest of the golf business) with 1 guaranteed wknd. day off, along with paid Holidays is generally unheard of in the golf business and was the main attraction to me early on. 2. Pay Structure provides a base salary along with commission that will vary depending on the market size. In the Louisville, KY market it was better (by a long margin) than any other equivalent position ie; Assistant Professional at a local club. 3. Corporate backing will keep your pipeline full with plenty of leads/opportunities. This is coming from someone in a smaller market size. 4. Good benefits package/401K.
Cons
1. Technology can be frustrating at times. You will use/manage multiple devices on a daily basis and they frequently will not work, making it difficult to do your job. 2. (In my specific situation) 3 employees covering a facility that is open 7 days a week makes it difficult to operate.
