Pros
I work with smart, funny (fun too!) and passionate people. We are tasked with solving some huge challenges facing Long Term Post Acute Care--really the future of healthcare in general. I think it's important to know that we take improving patient care seriously. I am empowered--I have seen many of my ideas become a reality--and some of them aren't necessarily in my "HR Lane." I never feel like folks are too busy to answer a question or to lend a helping hand. We don't always agree on how to solve a problem, but I think we still approach it with respect. I would describe a lot of the team as "intrepreneurs"--those of us that want to innovate, disrupt (in a productive way), grow, learn and lead--but within an organization rather than on our own. I have never felt like there is a ceiling on my professional growth--my curiosity is nurtured rather than squashed. I feel like I make an impact. Also--the benefits are AMAZING.
Cons
I don't think this is a con--We are growing. Growing up can seem painful in the moment, but there are many lessons to learn and opportunities to influence the organization. I am a genuinely positive individual--so I am naturally going to turn lemons into lemonade. I find it exciting to be a part of the change--but accepting that not everyone shares that outlook.
