Pros
As an employee who has seen GTE Financial as an employee under two CEOs It is a Credit Union that has all the technology a Credit Union could want for, a wonderful HQ's campus and still a few employees who care about the Member Owners.
Cons
In 2010 when the merger failed and new leadership came in GTE quickly became a place you had to be fake to survive, endure passive aggressive insults from the C-level management egos and keep your mouth shut to keep your job even if you were making a suggestion about what was clearly best for the non profit cooperative.Things have gotten worse as they have had to add more and more creative interpretation to their search for examples of success of their strategies. The mostly stagnate Board of Directors compounds GTE's problems with their complacency and are more concerned about receiving their "Perks" and what's for lunch than doing any real work on committees and representing the interests of the Credit Union Members or concerns raised by the employees.
