Pros

- management with an open door policy and willingness to listen and work with you - room for growth - company expansion (this is their first service desk and they are adding more) - company bonuses - shift bid is equal for everyone across the board and not based on seniority - direct hire, no contract - great benefits/insurance/401k/PTO/paid holidays - upper management interacting with the employees and asking for recommendations on how to make this desk be the best

Cons

- client doesn't update its knowledge base very fast - negativity from a few coworkers - first time they have had a service desk but they are learning and adapting quickly

Pros

Great launching point into a tech career. Lots of IT issues to get involved in and learn. You work purely with city employees so you can gain many big connections into government IT.

Cons

Not much teaching, You get thrown into it all.
