Pros

Can negotiate a great salary Very few midlevel people so there is ample opportunity to rise fast If you're passionate, ambitious, and love insurance, there is loads of opportunity and you can make a lot of money (in the long run, not at first)

Cons

Pay variation between equal experience people varies widely... They are opportunistic Culture is old-school and outdated. Heard tone-deaf, often times straight up racist/sexist, comments nearly every day in the office Expectations are anticipated to be met with out clearly laying out what they are. Lots of talking behind each others backs in the office, and extremely superficial Entire office was white, ~15% women, 85% men

The culture has become increasingly transactional, leaving little room for genuine professional growth or client advocacy.
