Pros

I honestly can't think of any reason to work there.

Cons

The benefits are super expensive. If you are mid-career with a commiserate salary, expect to pay over $ 8,500 annually to cover yourself and your family for a very high deductible plan. ($6K). A wellness program that is so complicated, most people just throw in the towel. Look for everyone's kids to be working there and if your name is Gallagher, you'll be an SVP with little experience.

Pros

The advantages of selling insurance through large corporations have largely disappeared. The environment has shifted toward prioritizing shareholder value over meaningful client and employee relationships.

Cons

Gallagher, like many publicly traded insurance firms, appears focused primarily on share price performance rather than supporting producers or fostering long-term client trust. The culture has become increasingly transactional, leaving little room for genuine professional growth or client advocacy.
