Pros

Flextime, good coworkers, good philosophy

Cons

Poor Management: Those place in management positions are either very, very inexperienced or they are employees who did not perform in other areas and got moved to management. Many of the don't understand the business. Does Not Practice What They Preach: The company has (for the most part) great research and intentions but very poor execution. They are very concerned with the bottom line and have abandoned many of their early values. Poor Leadership: The leadership has no experience outside of Gallup and continue to make big gambles with no pay off, they invest time/money in the wrong places, and they make poor decisions that cause the culture of the company to decline. Culture of Fear: There is very little trust in the leadership and management and the employees react out of fear now. No one trusts that the engagement surveys are confidential, they are afraid to speak their opinions, people too worried about the number of hours they work and cannot focus on the big picture. Poor Pay Structure:The incentive structure is all wrong and rewards the wrong behaviors. Poor Placement: Due to the management having little knowledge about true professional development, people not positioned in the right places on accounts, they are not hired based on their experience (or if they are they end up getting placed where they cannot leverage their experience). Growth and Advancement Opportunities: There really aren't any. Again, management has no idea how to professionally develop their associates. It's rare to have a manager that has more experience than the employees therefore, not only is there little formal training, but there is no informal training or mentor ship. There is a very flat structure and not a lot of movement available. Technology: Behind the curve and prohibiting growth.

Pros

Managers are outstanding. They truly respect and care about their employees. They make you feel comfortable sharing your opinions. They empower you to take action. The culture is fantastic. Fellow employees are wonderful to work with. Everyone takes their role seriously. You feel part of a village and want to contribute. You get to do what you do best! The mission and purpose make this feel not so much like a job, more like a way of life.

Cons

As is true for many companies, there are a lot of changes needed to be competitive in this current environment. Working through the changes can be bumpy at times. It is worth it to voice concerns and be part of the solution.

Pros

1. Genuine intellectual autonomy with real institutional backing behind you 2, A research heritage spanning nearly a century that raises the bar on everything you produce. I've worked with Nobel Laureates and many other top minds. 3. The nicest smart people I've encountered anywhere, drawn from all over the world; and that's held true across nearly 30 years 4. Treated like a responsible adult from day one; lots of autonomy and a remarkable breadth of data and research to work with 5. A place where your individuality is an asset, not something to sand down

Cons

1. If you are a person who needs someone else to structure your day and hand you a to-do list, you may struggle; the autonomy is real, and so are the expectations that come with it 2. The pace and intellectual standards can be demanding; this is not a coast-and-collect-a-paycheck environment
