Pros
Flexible schedule and a nice gym
Cons
Gallup is continuously moving away from being a legitimate polling company and is attempting to sell it's nonsense strength finder assessments. However, I was hired as a research analyst. First, I found that all of my managers do not know anything about statistics. Gallup is a company full of Ph.D's managed by B.A.'s. Gallup says that employees are responsible for finding their own work. In other words, they hire full-time employees but treat them like independent contractors. Since senior analysts generally get to choose their projects, new analysts are forced to fight over scraps or lose their jobs. I was eventually terminated because my manager couldn't find work for me. Additionally, he admitted to me that he had no plans for me when I was hired, but hired me anyway because of my abilities and training. Gallup pays employees less than almost anywhere else. A starting analyst at gallup makes 20k less than most other competitors. Finally, the insurance is ridiculously expensive for what you get.
