Pros

Over the past 2 years Gallup London – which is the hub for EMEA – has completely changed for the better, and is currently on a huge dynamic growth path. With a new Managing Partner, there has been a complete overhaul of the mission, workplace culture, leadership, development opportunities and this is now the best – and fastest growing region - in the organization to work at. Mission: If you are mission-driven this is the organization to work at. You will be working on huge, impactful, mission-driven clients at a far earlier stage in your career. The work is exciting and varied and all centred around a core purpose/mission of helping leaders and organizations solve every pressing problem facing humankind. One day you are advising the C-Suite of a major FTSE organization how to improve the lives and productivity of tens of thousands of employees, the next day working for a global foundation trying to improve the health outcomes of every person on the planet. Learning & Development: Unlike other professional services firms Gallup invests heavily in the Learning and Development opportunities for their associates. Ranging from learn-at-lunches with global thought-leaders to opportunities for overseas placements and managers and leaders that care passionately about you and your future. Transparent and Open Workplace Culture: The biggest perk working in EMEA is the transparent and open culture. If you are worried about something, want to know more, just ask. In EMEA there is a tremendous amount of psychological safety, and you can have honest and open discussions with your manager (go-to) about everything.

Cons

Not a con, more an observation. Those that excel and get the most out of their Gallup experience approach their growth and development as an active activity. Meaning they are an active participant in discussing what their future could look like. Unlike other professional services firms, this is encouraged by EMEA leadership and many people have many exciting and different roles in their tenure at Gallup.

Pros

Managers are outstanding. They truly respect and care about their employees. They make you feel comfortable sharing your opinions. They empower you to take action. The culture is fantastic. Fellow employees are wonderful to work with. Everyone takes their role seriously. You feel part of a village and want to contribute. You get to do what you do best! The mission and purpose make this feel not so much like a job, more like a way of life.

Cons

As is true for many companies, there are a lot of changes needed to be competitive in this current environment. Working through the changes can be bumpy at times. It is worth it to voice concerns and be part of the solution.

Pros

1. Genuine intellectual autonomy with real institutional backing behind you 2, A research heritage spanning nearly a century that raises the bar on everything you produce. I've worked with Nobel Laureates and many other top minds. 3. The nicest smart people I've encountered anywhere, drawn from all over the world; and that's held true across nearly 30 years 4. Treated like a responsible adult from day one; lots of autonomy and a remarkable breadth of data and research to work with 5. A place where your individuality is an asset, not something to sand down

Cons

1. If you are a person who needs someone else to structure your day and hand you a to-do list, you may struggle; the autonomy is real, and so are the expectations that come with it 2. The pace and intellectual standards can be demanding; this is not a coast-and-collect-a-paycheck environment
