Pros
Good Associates, loads of young people, relationships in the office run wild
Cons
Mom and Pop shop with a small mind mentality. Very focused on making mom and dad richer, very little concern about employees or customers. The company is run like a 1980s manufacturer with very little automation. 90% of the work process is waste (as Lean defines it), but they aren't smart enough to realize it. [For Example: when customers provide us information, like a masterlist, we actually bake 48 hours into the process for the customers data to sit around until we look at it...but this isn't waste because we "plan for it".] We have to charge 3xs our competitors because of the waste, and we still have lower margins than the market place. Half of the head count is in call centers and are treated poorly and most people in the field don't respect them. Healthcare plan is the worst in the industry, but costs the most. Dad wants us to be like McKinsey & Co. but we only do market research and employee surveys. Dad changed the titles of the sales guys to Partner to match them...but they still only sell and only a few can consult. Plus partners at consulting firms get paid 3 or 4 times what we get.
