Pros

Nice co-workers and the company seems to be doing really well financially.

Cons

Pay isn't competitive for any position in the company. Monthly meetings where management talks about how much money the company has made and how well the company is doing but when it comes to sharing the profit, employees get a 2.5% annual raise. Every year the pay increases and bonuses get worse. 5% to a 2.5% raise even though job responsibilities and expectations have increased and the company continues to grow. Gamber doesn't keep up with the cost of living so over time you start to realize you're making less money than you were when you started. From production workers to office staff, people working at Gamber feel like they are not well compensated. Benefits aren't good either. Only 2 weeks vacation, bad insurance coverage, and the building is old so there aren't any nice amenities like an upgraded break room. There is a foosball table, 3 fridges, and a few microwaves in the break room, and one t.v. that loudly plays local news or soap operas. Only one break room so there is no privacy if you need to make a phone call or need a quiet spot.

We are sorry that you feel this way. We have an open door policy and are more than happy to discuss your concerns. We are committed to making Gamber-Johnson a great place to work and have made a great many improvements to benefits since becoming a standalone company. Our confidential associate surveys show that the vast majority our team do not share your feelings. Since the buyout, Gamber has added an HSA option to health insurance, free childcare reimbursement, charitable donation matches, a mini-gym, more break room space, free Netflix or Hulu subscriptions and much more. Gamber strives to be as competitive as possible with wages and benefits. We monitor this closely every year. Wage increases are based on monitoring of the market, COLA and individual performance. Declining increases may be an indication of under-performance and are not the result of management cutbacks relative to COLA. Bonuses have been paid at maximum levels for the past three years. We are growing steadily. Gamber is a great place to work and be part of a great team.
