Pros
Many departments are warm and collaborative, will not leave you high and dry. Remote setup flexible to your schedule.
Cons
Heartbreaking shifts in the last few years. My direct reports and I have been here a while and I've watched them receive smaller pay bumps for larger workloads. Promotions are now rare and grudgingly given. Expectations are getting higher and respect for work/life balance is eroding. Leadership team has a revolving door problem. Lots of spend has been put into AI licenses and you can sense a growing panic for them to get their money's worth. It's all but been said out loud that performance will be judged foremost by how much AI you use. I used to say this was a great place to work if you don't want to be micromanaged, but those days are coming to an end.
