Pros

Fun product to build, cool tech and good base pay. Most engineers are quite approachable and willing to help.

Cons

No 401k matching, despite employees frequently raising this request in company meetings. Benefits are also below industry standard compared to other companies in the ticketing marketplace. A significant cultural shift has affected morale. Previously, employees were motivated by a shared sense of mission and enthusiasm for the company’s growth; now, many feel pressured to work hard to avoid sudden job cuts, which have affected some valued team members. SEVERE issues with ego and politics within the engineering team impact collaboration and morale. Career progression feels non-existent, with many new full-time hires at senior levels taking on routine tasks, while contractors are used in roles that were previously held by full-time engineers. Navigating office politics seems essential for advancement within the company.

Pros

- The business model is bulletproof. I don’t see any scenario where the company doesn't succeed and scale aggressively this year. - Compensation and career growth are top-tier. Speaking from experience, I’ve been promoted and given a raise every year of my 3-year tenure.

Cons

- The recent layoffs unfortunately missed a lot of useless tenured employees. Getting a response out of them is difficult, and when they do reply, the advice is usually meaningless. - Their only real asset used to be historical company knowledge, but now that our internal tools are unblocked and accessible, anyone can find that information themselves. They aren't bringing anything unique to the table anymore.

Pros

The day-to-day employees and colleagues here are great people to work with. There are always lots of fresh ideas and creativity floating around the organization.

Cons

Promotion is heavily biased toward presentation skills over execution and accountability. Management frequently excuses significant operational errors by favored individuals, forcing reliable team members to mitigate the consequences without recognition. Continuous changes in upper management cause broken communication channels and erratic promotion cycles.
