Pros

- Good career opportunity - If you want to be in the tech industry, this is where you want to be - Great understanding of business operations

Cons

Turnover in the sales department is well over 70%. I spoke to someone who used to crunch the numbers and it jumped to 77% this year, 2017. You will see numbers and talk to recruiters that 80% or so people hit their quota, which is UNHEARD of.... Reason being they churn and burn you so quickly you don't have a chance to fully get a grasp of what you're doing. It's cooking the books to make your numbers look more favorable. Cool, companies do it. But, if you are someone that's going to relocate for a job opportunity like this...you need to know this happens and be prepared for it.

Pros

Terrific coworkers. Nearly everyone at the company is pleasant, professional, and willing to help you even if you’ve never met them before. Hybrid work environment. People generally seem to care about you on an individual level. One of the best corporations I’ve worked for.

Cons

Gartner is not in a great place right now. The business model requires changes and Wall Street analysts have tremendous doubts about the corporate liability in the era of AI. Stock has fallen in half over the past two years. Massive layoffs across the company. Doubt the stability is there for any kind of medium term or long-term career. Below market compensation, offset by pros above when they exist.
