Pros

The benefits are really good (health, lots of PTO from the 1st day, 401K, ESPP), some of the people are really nice to work with and the company promotes cultural diversity and acceptance.

Cons

The company is very departmentalized so this review is really only relevant to Order Management. Other business units may result in an entirely different, more positive experience. Order Management is that department that everyone wants to transfer out of. I highly recommend pursuing other opportunities at Gartner!!! In OM, the only reason that you come out with a decent, living wage is because there is mandatory overtime every month end which consists of 12 hour shifts back to back to back. They do make you aware of this from the onset but it is rough once you're actually doing it. Especially when they have these "Potential Overtime" days where, if it is busy we will stay/if not we leave on time, and they almost always make us stay, unjustifiably in my opinion. Most of the time they do not even tell us if we're staying late or not until 3pm (if at all). Definitely not much of a heads up. Also, the division of the workload is completely off balance. Some people are drowning in work nonstop while others have nothing to do. Because of this the burnout is real and the turnover rate is high. Oh and btw, you'll be working in an Oracle system from 1991, no exaggeration. Opportunities for advancement are a joke. Many people here have the potential and the work ethic to be leaders and would have been promoted as such ages ago with other employers, but are MAYBE to the role of Sr. Order Mgmt Specialist which is just a title, small pay increase and comes with no actual supervisory responsibilities. There are some really nice people on the team but some that are really unwelcoming, snobby and/or outright rude yet get promoted and recognized in department newsletters. I could go on and on and I am really not one of those complaining types all workplaces have. I seriously was so excited to work for Gartner but now I absolutely dread coming to work everyday and cannot wait to leave this place.

Pros

Work life balance, though in late 2026 will be required to go back to office. Full autonomy for your own schedule.

Cons

Absolutely no path for growth.

Pros

Totally remote and the hours that you work can be flexible. The other designers are very friendly and willing to help you out when solving problems. The company provides you with equipment to work with. They also forbid the use of AI in their presentations with is extremely respectable.

Cons

You are paid based on billable hours. Management is strict about how much time you spend on each project, but you also have to make sure to meet a quota of billable hours each week. It can be hard to find a balance and the time counting down while working is stressful.
