Pros

Gartner is a great company to work for. I encourage people to seek any roles OUTSIDE of the Client Partner Group in Fort Myers, FL. Gartner offers great benefits, including generous PTO.They are the industry standard for advisor firms and a great name to have on your resume even if you do not stay there forever. This is a good role for someone just out of college looking to get a good name on their resume.

Cons

The Client Partner Group is a very political group in the Fort Myers office and is the red-headed child of sales. The group has a very high rate of turnover, aloof senior leadership, and only hires female minions as managers. They make it VERY difficult to be promoted within the group or to another business unit. In particular, the HTTP region of the group has a bully VP who favors some of his employees while intimidating others. Financial success in the Client Partner Group is very limited- DO NOT trust what the recruiters say. Client Partner are only aligned to commission of some of the products clients have. This is not a job for anyone who is looking for career or financial growth.

Pros

Being a globally recognized company makes it easy to consistently engage clients. Great benefits. Amazing people (managers and colleagues) For the most part there is a clear path to success and promotions. Executives listen to feedback after every internal call to help guide strategy.

Cons

In office mandate increasing in office days from once a month to once a week. Need to live in Florida or Texas because of the in office mandate. Promotions take a while since there are many people going for the same roles. Hard to reach clients and constant territory’s shifting makes it difficult to achieve the numbers you and management expect.
