The Career Lab at Genentech is almost on par with the career services at top business schools. - Flexibility in work hours and allowing employees to work from home. Good work/life balance
Cons
- Loss of employee stock purchase plan after acquisition by Roche - Genentech's identity seems to be lost and overshadowed by the Roche organization. It's essentially a private company with the brand name being leveraged by Roche. I wish the company had its autonomy and identity again. - The SSF campus is a bit far from downtime. This is pretty strategic since it keeps employee on campus and makes them more productive; however, it can get monotonous.
