Can't Recommend as a Place to Work - Product General Assembly Employee Review

Pros

Flexibility, lots of opportunities to learn / take advantage of GA courses

Cons

GA was very mission driven, but that seems to be changing and the company is losing its focus on helping students. This change in priorities has meant that a lot of the work being done to support students and instructors is really not valued by management. Turn over at GA is extremely high, both because people are unhappy and choose to leave and from management looking to cut costs and letting people go. It is not a stable place to work. There is little opportunity for advancement internally. Complete lack of diversity.

Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn and build experience with Fortune 500 and 1000 client projects, can offer flexibility since the work is 100% remote and contracts are on a per-project basis. Can be great for career growth if you're motivated to work hard and hustle

Cons

People are spread very thin on lots of projects, timelines can be very rushed and high-pressure. This can be a result of client pressure, but also frequently comes from internal issues with communication and poorly defined scope of work.
