How hard it is to get in a role.

401k, 9 80, pension, insurance, free ice and coffee

Oh where do I start? Hourly people are treated like machines here. You cant borrow or make up time. You have to take your lunch and break at a certain time. Yiur schedule is so ridged unlike salary. If work is slow you are required to find a way to make it look like you are working. You cant wear headphones or leave early. Some times overtime is mandatory. You must me at your station at all times. You bearly accrue vacation and are told to not take it until the end of the year in case the department shuts down. No worklife balance at all. Really depressing. The director is more like a dictator. If you check your watch or are not at your bench , the director takes pictures and reports you. You must have a clear watee bottle, cant have any other . It is hard to get promoted or have any motivation. It doesn't matter toxic and mean management and some supervisors never get in trouble even though they treat employees badly.
