Interesting work, security clearance, responsibility early, highly complex work depending on department,solid health plan, 401 k vests immediately
Cons
Terrible parking, pay raises small so most employees leave after 2 years, after initial promotion it is 4 years or so until next promotion, new employees coming in make more than you, high turnover rate, doing the minimum is the status quo, hoarding of knowlege, depending on department told to each lunch at desk and continue working, doesnt maintain facilities (we had to fix our own microwave when it broke), limited opportunities to move higher up. If you are not identified early as a star employee, it is very difficult to advance
