Pros
Job security (questionable in the future), hard to get fired, annual "merit" raises, and employee bonus incentive program. Some people do care, and will go out of their way to help you out (but they burnout quick). Place helps you build up a resume if you're motivated. The first 5 years goes by quick with everything you get to learn.
Cons
As the title says "10% of the people do 90% of the work." People are allowed to not pull their own weight and get to stay employed. Good luck with work life balance if you care about your job/engineering standards/morals. They took away paid overtime from the lifers that keep the place going. Culture of favoritism with upper management.
