Do not work for GDIT as a contractor. They treat people like 2nd class citizens and the benefits are paltry, at best (1 week of vacation per year, only high deductible health plans, low salaries). You'll be lucky if they give you a 2% raise per year. No opportunities for career growth either. At a sister company site, they outbid a contract and then cut salaries by one-third. If this happens to you, or you know it's on the horizon, start looking for new opportunities. I was a contractor and forced to switch to GDIT. I tolerated the change for 4 months, then things worsened drastically and I made it my mission to get out of there.
