You get to assist people seeking to obtain federal funding for college You get to learn a great deal about the Federal Student Aid program

Cons

The environment within the call center is locked down tightly. You cannot have a book or phone at your desk, as they are worried about security of callers' personal information, which is very understandable. Calls get repetitive There is little to no recognition for excelling in your position The pay is very poor, but it is set by a government-mandated "prevailing wage" in the surrounding area
