Pros

Its a paycheck and there are some good employees

Cons

Where to begin. Firstly the onboarding and hiring process is the worst I have ever been through. Don't expect an offer letter and if you get one its just a brochure but does not have any important information on it. Next management is only in it for themselves and will only act when it effects them. Projects are a complete cluster and if they get completed there are more issues than it is worth. Project managers track projects on Word Docs in list form and have no clue what a projects statues is. Project managers also "forget" about customer processes, which adds complications and slows down projects. This has gotten to the point where the customers do not trust the PMs and will slow down the process just to confirm things are taken care of before the approve the projects advancement. lastly they keep job descriptions vague so they can add thing onto your plate without having to pay you more for what you are doing.

Pros

The company has your back; it shows how much it cares for its employees. Personnel moves are done in a way that makes sense, and they often put the right person in the right job and make changes quickly when necessary.

Cons

As contractors, you are bound to what the customer asks. And there is not much control over it, since you are contractually bound to support that customer. Even then, GDIT corporate makes sure to reach a good middle ground when changes are requested.

Pros

Good pay and flexible telecommute options

Cons

Extremely basic benefit offerings. There also seems to be a very wide chasm between GDIT internal (management/corporate) and front-line staff who are focused on the contract.
