Pros
Every other Friday off is great. Decent compensation. Tuition reimbursement really helps in getting a Masters. Onsite gym saves time after work.
Cons
This place was great a few years ago, but has been in a downward spiral for a while now. Some of that has to do with the economy and cuts in defense spending, but a lot has to do with management. They never communicate with the employees, except to hand down decrees detailing new metrics that need to be met, or to add some new process to the already-cumbersome time charging system, or to announce how great the company is doing (despite the fact that layoffs have been ongoing since 2009, and more are scheduled for later in 2011). Employees are told that "innovation is key", but are then forbidden to work on anything beyond their usual, menial tasks, and are physically locked out of the new MC2 center that was supposed to be the hotbed of innovation. Performance reviews are a joke: they have nothing to do with performance, and instead you are rated on how well your manager likes you; woe to the good employee who happened to upset their manager, since the recent round of layoffs was based on this supposed "performance" rating. There are many more cons of working here, but these are the big ones. This company will need a complete management shuffle in order to survive these times.
