      Pros

      Very friendly and supporting group (majority of people I've met have been with the company for 5-10+ years). WLB is prioritized and issues are resolved quickly (for a corporation). Most managers I've had have been interested genuinely in my growth.

      Cons

      The compensation "red tape" and career development speed were the main reasons I left.

      Pros

      GD has lots of interesting projects to work on across multiple locations. If you want to make a career at GD, I don't think you would be bored because there is so much to work on. Work has been very stable over decades with no indication that that will change. Work life balance is also valued and generally very good outside of major project milestone deliveries.

      Cons

      Pay is competitive with defense industry but not private sector.
