Pros
Significant job security exists as long as you have some degree of competency and exert a modicum of effort. The benefits package is fantastic though it has been cut back somewhat over the past few years.
Cons
To say the majority of the personnel are either incompetent or lazy would be demeaning to incompetent lazy people. If you want to work in an organization where streamlining and efficiency based changes will be fought against by coworkers and movement or are flat out against company policy then this is the place for you.
