      Pros

      It's close to home (5 mile commute), and I can take the bus if I want. They pay well $$$$.

      Cons

      The management is what I call General Motorolanamics. It used to be a Motorola division, but Moto was so screwed up they had to sell it in order to gain some profit during their downward spiral.

      Pros

      GD has lots of interesting projects to work on across multiple locations. If you want to make a career at GD, I don't think you would be bored because there is so much to work on. Work has been very stable over decades with no indication that that will change. Work life balance is also valued and generally very good outside of major project milestone deliveries.

      Cons

      Pay is competitive with defense industry but not private sector.
