Pros

Average pay. Easy dress code. Sometimes free apples.

Cons

This company treats contract employees with very limited respect and truth. As a senior engineer, I was made to report to every junior engineer in the department and the test technicians too. Consequently, I was unable to refuse anyone's advice on how to do my own work, and had to eat a lot of crap. But I got it done. The dept. manager never told me anything, no matter how I asked. I was on my own with 5- 10 bosses, including his ineffectual self. The personnel department started out being mean, and they declined to actively humiliating me using a 25-year old girl. After I delivered the design and all the 100 page documents, the contract was ended remotely, without even a thank you or an email or a phone call. So, I would never recommend this place to any engineer with self respect. I don't know how they treat permanent personnel- they all seemed jumpy. No one out of all my managers and coworkers, would acknowledge any email I sent. There were several marginal employees with psychiatric problems, that I was unable to defend myself from. This contract was not great for my career or my happiness.

Pros

When hired, was able to take a schedule that gave me every other Friday off which was very convenient for appointments.

Cons

Schedule that I was hired on was taken away company wide. We were also told that there was a new expectation that we work 45 hours a week minimum. You'll have to record your hours. Anything under 40 is recorded as unpaid time, so there is no leaving early if you complete your work quickly. The culture is pretty bad. Employees are not held accountable for anything at any level. This is an employer you can expect to be yelled at, regardless of fault.
