Pros
Some of the best brands out there. Incredible training opportunities. Best-in-class preparation for future careers - you can go anywhere and be a leader with General Mills on your resume. Great general management exposure - the rotational culture means you get to do a lot of really cool stuff and always learn new things. Pay is absolutely incredible, especially combined with stock options.
Cons
The up-or-out culture in marketing can be challenging and means only a very small portion of people make it to senior management without being let go. As the company has faced a lot of difficulty in the past few years with changing food trends, budgets have been cut dramatically. Most marketers are more focused on managing profit and costs now than doing advertising and brand building.
