Pros

Flexible with work hours and strong partnership/cooperation across work groups. Strong sense of brand identity and connection to the company. Pay is at or above expectations.

Cons

Anyone looking to move to General Mills Finance from another company should be aware of the company culture. External experience is generally discounted and the minimum to a promotion to Associate Finance Manager from Senior Finance Analyst is 2 internal rotations, which is 3 years (at an absolute minimum). Quite a bit of turnover with external hires as they are generally placed in back of the line for promotions regardless of performance.

Pros

Good work life balance, many people fully remote or hybrid

Cons

Layoffs are often and if you don’t move quickly you get caught up in them

Pros

Always busy with challenging work.

Cons

Office politics slows things down, seems like some of the work is about checking a box and not about really creating value or improved processes.
