Pros

Fabulous employer to learn classic marketing skills! Brand management expertise bar none. Excellent experience in managing products & people. Summer work hours are a big bonus. Salaries and benefits are great.

Cons

Culture is lacking in diversity: multi-cultural acceptance only works here if you graduated from the same school, talk alike and think alike. GMI likes to have employees that are from varying ethnicities, but conformity to the norm is demanded. Individual performance ratings are skewed by division & work group targets/quotas-- so recognition is not as fair as it should be. Stay away from the foodservice division as I hear it functions with far fewer resources against it.

Pros

Good work life balance, many people fully remote or hybrid

Cons

Layoffs are often and if you don’t move quickly you get caught up in them

Pros

Always busy with challenging work.

Cons

Office politics slows things down, seems like some of the work is about checking a box and not about really creating value or improved processes.
