Pros
Benefits like 6% 401k match, affordable health insurance, parental bonding leave, 3 weeks PTO plus 1 week paid Sick and Emergency Time Off.
Cons
Shift leaders look for individuals to promote who will not challenge the current work process, rather, they will carry out orders unquestioned. For this, management continues to stagnate and hasn’t improved in the 7 years I’ve been employed. In large part, they’re not equipped with the skills to deal with the human or emotional side of management. They carry out orders regardless of the factors that make each employee unique. It amazes all of us how quick management is to fire someone. On the flip side of that, when management decides to have mercy, they do so with individuals with whom they have a personal relationship. Managers supposedly know the company policy and organizational processes and procedures like the back of their hands, but they have no skill set for the human aspect of management. There is a large disconnect between management and employee engagement, which also contributes to our lack of talent retention and wellbeing.
