Pros

Great people and easy to talk to Lots of opportunity for cross collaboration $400 monthly commuter benefits $15 lunch comped once weekly 1 week summer shutdown company wide first week of July and 1 week winter shutdown last week of December 15 days of PTO and 5 days of sick leave

Cons

Impossible to be promoted and no clear upward mobility Frequent re-structures, roles and expectations are not clearly defined Following the layoff, multiple people literally had no work to do for almost half a year Portfolio and strategy makes no sense with several projects continually added without the manpower for them or expertise needed for such niche biology Grueling workload

Pros

Had promise a few years ago. Smart and good people. leadership was supportive of the teams and the strategy and vision was focused on leveraging the platform to advance drug discovery. Employees were motivated and working together towards exciting goals.

Cons

Greed and impatience have made the exec leaders dismiss opportunities to stand out and differentiate and talented individuals and teams are undervalued. Many execs have no biotech experience, are focused on themselves getting rich quick and have lost interest in being engaged leaders and holding themselves and other leaders accountable. Clinging on to the AI hype while they still can, but lacking vision to realize the company’s early promise. The culture has tanked and people are disillusioned. Bad behavior is rewarded and nothing changes to improve culture despite lip service. The pay is good but not worth the burn out and bad culture.
