Terrible - Physical Therapist Genesis HealthCare Employee Review

Pros

The facilities they are contracted into typically have great nursing staff.

Cons

No work-life balance, expected to pick up the slack for other therapists, expected to stay late without the option to leave early during the same week, tons of 'busy' work that should be handled by housekeeping, maintenance, and/or nursing. Benefits (vacation time, health insurance) are sub-par at best-you pay way too much for crappy coverage with astronomical deductibles for a single person. The relationship with GRS and facilities starts out okay-we'll call it the honey-moon phase-but the true colors of the managers and directors show through quickly. No one is happy working for them, staff doesn't stay, and if they do, its because they love the residents, the facility, or their coworkers. Its no wonder GRS keeps losing contracts-the facilities see that they're only concerned about the dollar, and not about patient care, customer service, or their staff.
